FLSA Status: Personal Staff

Remote work is optional, but some in-person workdays may be required. Flexible work

Education and Training Guidelines

Graduation from an accredited law school.

License/Certification:
• Juris Doctorate (Required)

Competencies

The incumbent must possess outstanding analytical, research, and writing skills. Previous legal work experience preferred, but new or prospective law graduates will be considered . Law review experience also preferred but not required. For each case, you will be expected to analyze the legal and factual issues presented, perform independent legal research to confirm what legal principles govern, and apply those principles, to set-forth an objective, unbiased conclusion. You must write legal memoranda in a clear, organized fashion to inform the court about the issues, arguments, and controlling law. You must have a firm grasp of basic legal principles with the ability to expand your current base of legal knowledge into many different areas. You will be expected to have expertise in proofreading and citation formatting . All work will be done impartially, confidentially, promptly, and professionally. You must be able to work effectively with others, which includes the ability to accept and
provide constructive input.

Work Location: Remote; some in-person (in-person days will be worked out between you and hiring Judge)
